2021 City of Lomita Founder's Day Fireworks Display
As you may already know, there was no Founder's Day* Fireworks display last year due to Covid-19. This year, there was one, but we had to social distance and watch from farther away than we used to. The City did plan for this as they made sure that the annual aerial display can be seen from afar. Someone posted a 12 minute video on youtube and added their own audio background, here it is for us to enjoy. June 26, 2021, 9:00 pm Lomita Park This appears to be taken south of Lomita Park, as we can see vaguely Auto Zone at the foreground. And yes it does appear that the show was set up a little higher than previous years. Without the cars, the crowds, the smoke, the smell and the sound, it just does not seem like the ones we were used to. Although definitely the blasts can be clearly heard even up to a few miles away.
